变尺度法(variable metric method)一种拟牛顿法。指用尺度矩阵作为拟牛顿法中的对称正定迭代矩阵的方法。

此法首先由戴维顿(Davidon, W.C.)于1959年提出，后经弗莱彻(Fletcher,R.)和杰罗姆·鲍威尔(Powell , M. J. D.)改进，故亦称DFP法，或称DFP变尺度法.
