一次三河王吕光帅众10万伐西秦，莫者羖羝曾经和左辅密贵周一起劝西秦国主乞伏乾归向吕光称，同时以皇子敕勃为人质。吕光引兵还。不久，乾归悔之，杀周及羖羝。
