沪西区位于上海市市区西部。

位于上海市区西部。民国27年(1938年)12月合并漕泾、法华、蒲淞3区设置。因处当时上海市西部，故名。民国32年8月改称第四区，民国33年8月复名沪西区。民国34年抗日战争胜利后撤销，辖地分设新泾区、龙华区。
